Details of stem cell

What are stem cells ?
Stem cells refer to those undifferentiated mother cells of a multi cellular organism that give rise to more number of indefinite cells which are of similar type. From the stem cells, certain kinds of cell can arise by the process of differentiation. These cells have the ability to renew themselves of their own. The stem cells can be of blood, brain, heart, skin, bones, muscles etc.

Types of stem cells
Adult Stem cells
These stem cells are found in the tissues of adults. The most common example of adult stem cells is bone marrow. Bone marrow is known to be enriched in stem cells which in turn is used for the treatment of some deadly diseases including cancer.

PS Cells or Pluripotent Stem Cells:
These cells retain the power of dividing for longer period of time. The best popular type of PS stem cell is the one that is present in the embryos which supports the babies for growing and developing in the womb. They are also known as the embryonic stem cells. These cells are usually formed at the blastocyst stage of development.  Blastocysts refer to the hollow ball of cells which is smaller in size than pinheads. The embryonic stem cells stay wihin the blastocysts. Recent studies has revealed that PS stem cells can also be derived from skin cells of adult human being. These cells are known as ips or induced Pluripotent Stem Cells.

Fatal Stem Cells:
These cells are risen from the tissues of developing human fetus. These cells are also known as pregenitor cells. These cells are have similar kind of characteristics of the tissues from where they are derived. For instance, the ones that are taken from the fetal muscles are capable of making only muscle cells.

Importance of stem cells:
Stem cells are capable of developing into different types of cell in the body during their early life and growth. In a number of tissues, these cells act as a kind of internal repair system which are capable of dividing without limit for the replenishment of other cells till the person is alive. As the stem cells divides, each cell is capable of remaining as a stem cell or becoming another kind of cell which may have a specialized function
.
How stem cells were discovered:
The potentiality of stem cells were first discovered in the embryos of mouse from more than two decades from today. After years of extensive research, the potentiality of the stem cells were found out in the year of 1998. Scientists have discovered means for isolating stem cells from the embryos of human and growing those cells in the laboratory. such as brain cells, muscle cells etc.  In bone marrow and gut, the stem cells are capable of repairing and replacing damaged or worn out tissues by dividing themselves on a regular basis.

Cloud computing

Cloud Computing, also known as Computing, refers to the process of accessing and storing the programs and data over the web instead of computer drive.  Hosted services are delivered over the internet by cloud computing. Cloud Computing are largely used by companies in these days. The applications based on cloud computing, also known as SaaS (software as a service ) generally run on distance computers in "cloud". These computers are operated and owned by others . These are connected to the users' computers with the help of a web browser or the internet. This internet-based computing is also known as on-demand computing.

Benefits of Cloud Computing:
Cloud computing offers several benefits for which they are highly preferred by the business in these days. The wide number of advantages of SaaS attract end users as well.
Computing Resources can be spin by end users for different kinds of workload on-demand. Cloud computing can be used for scaling up with the increase in computing. However as the demands reduce, companies can scale down with much ease with the help of cloud computing. The users need to pay only for the workloads and resources which they use, as they go for cloud computing.

Different kinds of Cloud Computing:
Cloud computing are generally of three kinds which include public, private and the hybrid.

Public Cloud Computing:
The public computing model involves a third party provider which delivers the services of the cloud over the internet. These public computing services are being sold on the demand, by the minute or hour typically. The best thing about the public computing is that the customers need to pay only for the storage or the CPU cycles or the bandwidth consumed by them. Some of the well known public computing service providers are IBM software layer, Google Compute Engine and Amazon Web Services.

Private  Cloud Computing:
Private Computing services are being delivered to the internal users from the data center of business. This model is known to be very convenient and versatile at the same time. This can also preserve management at the same time. The internal customers are sometimes charged and sometimes not for the services via IT charge back.

Hybrid Cloud Computing:
Private Computing and Public Computing are combined with orchestration to form the Hybrid Cloud Computing. If companies are running extremely critical loads of work, they use hybrid cloud computing. The hybrid cloud computing is also used for running sensitive applications on private cloud while public computing is used for the bursting workloads which must scale-on-demand. The main objective of hybrid cloud computing is creating a scale and automated environment. This takes the benefits of all those provided by public cloud infrastructure and maintaining control over the mission critical data at the same time.

What is hadoop?

Hadoop is an open source network which allows storing and processing of big data in the distributed environment of clusters of computers, by the use of simpler models of programming. This software is used for distributed and reliable computing. Hadoop is designed for scaling up from a singular server to thousand machines where each one offer storage and local computation at the same time. This open source software allows huge storage of different kinds of data. The network has immense processing power and can handle unlimited concurrent jobs and tasks in a virtual way.

Benefits of Hadoop:

Hadoop has a wide number of benefits for which people are preferring this network on an enormous scale in these days. Hadoop can process and store large quantities of data within a very short period of time. The distributing computing model of Hadoop can process big data very quickly. With the more number of computing nodes being used, you can have more processing power. There is no need to reprocess data before storing it in the databases. This makes it different from the traditional databases.

Hadoop allows you to store huge number of data according to your needs. You can store unstructured data like images, videos, texts with the use of Hadoop. The best thing about Hadoop is that it provides protection of data and application against hardware failure. Thus once a node is down, jobs are directed in an automated way which ensures that the distributed computation does not fail. It stores different copies of all the data. The open source framework is absolutely free of cost. You can enlarge the system as well with the addition of more number of nodes. With a wide number of benefits, the usage of Hadoop is increasing for large scale data.

Difference of Hadoop from previous techniques:

Hadoop is much faster and has a cheaper database in comparison to the previous techniques. It is not required to structure the data with Hadoop. You can dump data into framework without reformatting the same. On the other hand, in traditional databases, data needs to be structured and schema needs to be defined before the storage of data. Hadoop has a simplified programming model by which users can write and test data much quickly in distributed systems. With Hadoop, distributed programs can be written much quickly. Hadoop can store data in more diverse formats in comparison to the columns and rows of traditional databases.

Hadoop is easier to administer in comparison to other traditional databases. Hadoop can also handle node failure and other job control issues in an invisible way. As a node fail, Hadoop makes sure that the computations are running on other nodes. It also ensures at the same time that the data stored on the failed node are recovered by the other nodes which makes it different from the traditional databases.
Hadoop can analyze and process huge amounts of unstructured and structured data at much lesser prices in comparison to other databases.

What is caveat petition?

In the applications of Caveat petition, requests are made to the court by people who has valid interests in cases related to a specific person and organizations' case. The application requests the court that no order should be passed against the concerned person or organization without giving you a prior notice. The caveat petition also states that the court should listen to your side of the story as well before giving the final verdict of the case. This petition is usually filed by people who have strong evidence against the specified person or organization. The petition remains valid only for a time period of 90 days. During these 90 days, if no case gets filed, it is mandatory that you should file a new and fresh caveat petition in the court. It is the section 148-A of the code of civil procedure that provides options for filing a caveat petition.

Objective of Caveat petition:

The caveat petitions are for protecting the interests of the person who filed the petition. The caveat helps in avoiding multiple number of proceedings. The petition also signifies that no ex-parte orders can be passed against the person who has lodged the petition of caveat. Thus this petition saves time of court as well.

Caveat Form:

There is no form that has been described by the caveat so far. The caveat needs to be filed in the form of a petition or an application to the court. The cause of action needs to be mentioned in the petition along with the name and full details of the opponent. A copy of the caveat is also needed to be sent to the opponent party before filing the same in court. The caveat can be filed only with the objective of opposing the person. A person or an organization cannot be supported by the caveat petition.

Gratuity explained in detail?

Gratuity is a lump sum collection of money which is being given to the employees by the employer of their company. The gratuity is provided to the employee while they leave their job or at the time of their retirement. This gratuity stands for the recognition of the service of the employees. Companies which have a population of more than 10 employees are eligible for providing gratuity to the employees. To be precise, it is mandate for these companies to pay gratuity to their employees. The amount of gratuity for an employee is calculated according to the basic salary and the time period of their service. The gratuity calculation varies from employee to employee.

Salary for the calculation of gratuity:
Bonus, HRA, reimbursements , special allowances are never taken into account while calculating the gratuity.  Basic Salary and dearness allowance (if any) are the only components of your salary which are taken for the calculation of your gratuity amount. This contributes to be the reason why the basic salaries of employees are kept the lowest.

Time period of service for the payment of gratuity:
The amount of your gratuity payment increases with the more number of time period you spent in the company. However to become eligible to get the gratuity amount, it is mandatory that a employee has completed services in the organization for a time period of more than 4 years 6 months. The number of service years are taken approximately to the nearest figure while calculating gratuity. Thus if the employee has completed 6 years and 6 months in the company, the length of service for the calculation of gratuity will be 7 years.

Formula for the calculation of gratuity:
The rules for gratuity states that you must be getting the salary of 15 days for each completed year. Thus as you complete 5 yars in the service, you should be getting the gratuity of one day salary*15*5. The number of days taken into account for calculating the salary would be 26 days, since the employees are having weekly offs as well. Thus the average working days of the employee while calculating the gratuity should not be more than 26 days. Hence one day salary is calculated by salary of a monh divided by 26.
So the formula for gratuity is
Gratuity = number of years *15/26*monthly salary

What is EI Nino Effect?

EI Nino Effect causes a drastic change in the weather conditions across the globe

What is EI Nino Effect
El Nino is a cycle of climate on the Pacific ocean which has an impact on the weather pattern on a global basis. When warm water from the western pacific Oceans starts flowing in the eastern direction, this weather phenomenon occurs. The normal trade wind reverses or weakens which causes the warm water in the western Pacific ocean to flow in the east. The cool water that is found near the Eastern Pacific, is then displaced by the warm water. This results in changes in atmosphere which as a result affects the weather conditions across the globe.

When EI Nino Occurs
The EI Nino does not occur every year. It occurs in every 2 to 7 years. There occurs an increase of temperature of 0.5 C or 0.9 F in the eastern Pacific ocean water near the equatorial region which results in the EI Nino effect. La Nina is the reverse phenomenon of EI Nino when the eastern Pacific Ocean becomes cooler than the temperature around the equator.

Effects of Nino Effect
The effects of EI Nino effect are really strong and can result in drastic changes in the weather conditions across the globe.

Tropical Cyclones
Tropical Cyclones occur on the sub tropical ridge side around the equator. It then moves towards the ridge axis after which it enters the main belt of Westerlies. The areas near Western side of Korea and Japan experiences fewer tropical cyclones during the time of September to November. During the occurence of EI Nino, the break in the subtropical ridge lies near 130 degree, thereby favoring the Japanese archipelago.

Influence on the tropical Atlantic Ocean
Studies reveal that EI Nino effect which occurs in the equatorial Pacific causes warm climate. The easterly trade winds in the region of western equatorial Atlantic is strengthened by the Atlantic Walker circulation over Southern America. This results in unusual cooling of the eastern equatorial Atlantic climate in the seasons of summer and spring, thereby resulting in EI Nino in the winter season.

Antarctica
EI Nino conditions also cause high pressure anomalies in Bellingshausen Seas, Ammundsen. This results in the reduction of sea ice and hence increased heat in these areas. On the other hand, the Weddell Sea tends to become cooler due to excessive sea ice. Thus opposite heat and atmospheric pressure anomalies occur during the reverse La Nina effect.

What is provident fund (PF)

Provident Fund , abbreviated as PF, is an employee fund where employees contribute a part of their salaries and employers contribute a part as well for their employees. In general, 12 % of your basic salary is contributed by the employee and an equal amount is contributed by employer as well. This is a mandatory retirement saving which is managed by the Government of India. This fund is for the benefits of the citizens of India and acts as pension fund. The fund is paid out to those who retire and in cases to the disabled.

Early PF With drawl is not a very good idea
PF is an employee fund where you build money slowly but steadily for ensuring the right flow of money during your old age. The rate of interest is 8.75% which is completely tax free if you withdraw the money after 5 years of opening the PF account. In case you are switching your job, you can transfer PF instead of withdrawing the amount.

Procedures to withdraw PF through Employer
In this process, you can visit the HR of the employer along with a copy of blank cheque. Form 19 and 10C will be handed over to you by the HR. As you submit the forms to HR after filling them up, the form will be attested and send by the the HR to the regional PF office. The PF office will take a time period of one month for processing the application form. The PF amount is then directly transferred to your account by The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).

Procedures to withdraw PF without involvement of Employer
The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has taken various steps so that citizens can withdraw their PF amount without any unwanted delays. In accordance with EPFO, details of Pan Card, Bank Account Number , Aadhaar card is linked to the Universal Account Number (UAN) of your PF account. Once the KYC (Know Your Customer) details are verified by the employer, you can directly withdraw the PF amount using UAN.  The employee does not need to contact the employer any more for withdrawing their PF money. You can provide your UAN, phone number, address as your basic details and a cancelled cheque of bank account to the EPFO. Submit these documents with signature and you will get your PF immediately. The amount will be transferred to your bank account on the basis of KYC details , submitted by employer.
This method is really useful in case if the employee is not being able to contact the previous employer.

In February, rules were set which stated that employees cannot withdraw their PF amount before they turn 58. However , after receiving several letters from different trade unions, new protocols have been set that with drawl of PF money can be done for the purpose of education, housing, medical treatment etc. The new regulations for PF will be effective from August this year.

Mythological origin
In accordance with the Hindu Mythology, the festival has its origin during the Samudra manthan. As Legends say, the  samudra manthan is a battle between the Asuras (Evil power) and Devas (Gods) fot Amrita, which was considered to be the Drink of immortality. The amrita which was produced during the churning of the ocean, popularly known as Samundra Manthan , was placed in a Kumbha or pot. A divine power flew away with the Kumbha with an eye to prevent the asuras to drink the Amrita. It is believed that the divine carrier stops at the four places where the Mela is being celebrated.
